Play! Festival dates announced: February 11th -15th, 2026

About US

Founded in 2019, Nica Acro promotes inclusivity and connection through movement arts like acroyoga, capoeira, dance, and martial arts. They host the annual PLAY! Festival at Finca OSOM, a unique venue on the slopes of Mombacho Volcano in Nicaragua, as well as workshops, jams, and retreats throughout the year.

An Acroyoga & Movement Festival in Nicaragua

This 5-day festival welcomes movers of all backgrounds and skill levels to train and learn while experiencing the warm culture and beauty of Nicaragua.

Nica Acro PLAY! includes classes that introduce, strengthen, and explore the fundamentals of acroyoga with complementary movement classes to foster the connection we have with ourselves and those around us.

PLAY! is an intimate gathering.
Each year, friends, families, and community members come together at our sustainable farm in the forest to share movement, music, and celebration. We keep the gathering cozy—limited to about 100 people—so it feels like a family reunion rather than a big festival.

Why is PLAY! a private event?
• To nurture a close, family-like atmosphere.
• To respect the natural limits of our farm’s resources, especially water.
• To create a space where deeper connections can flourish.
• To honor and respect our neighboring community

With teachers coming from all parts of the world, each class will offer insight into improving technique and fostering creativity through different methods of thought for a diverse and enriching experience.

Come explore the world of yoga, dance, handstands, partner movement, and creative process in this unique outdoor event that will take you into nature and into your body.

Whether you prefer the comfort of a luxury suite or the simplicity of sleeping under the stars, PLAY offers accommodations for every style and budget. Options include on-site camping, shared dorms, and luxury lodging at El Respiro Eco-Lodge. For those staying in Granada—a charming colonial city just 15 minutes away by car—PLAY organizes shuttles throughout the day to and from the festival site.

Camping at the Farm

Our camping area at Finca OSOM features levelled platforms with fine gravel substrate, plus access to outdoor bathrooms, showers, and sinks. Surrounded by sweeping views of Mombacho Volcano, Lake Nicaragua, the city of Granada, and the 360 isletas, it’s a breathtaking place to rest and recharge.

Tent Rentals

Don’t have a tent? No problem! We offer tent rentals that include a sleeping pad, sheet, and pillow. Simply reserve yours in advance.

Dormitory Beds

There are two on-site dorm rooms, each with 14 single beds. Dorm stays cost $75 for the four nights of the festival, with additional nights available for $18 per night.

Luxury Lodging at El Respiro

For those seeking a more upscale experience, El Respiro Eco-Lodge offers private rooms and suites just a short walk from the main festival area. These luxury accommodations are integrated into the PLAY festival site and provide stunning views, quiet comfort, and beautiful design.

Once again, Finca OSOM will be the home of the Nica Acro PLAY! Festival in 2026. Co-owned by Nica Acro co-founders Warren and April, this 13-acre sustainable farm is nestled on the slopes of Mombacho Volcano, with sweeping views of the crater above and Lake Cocibolca (also known as Lake Granada) below. The festival grounds include access to El Respiro Eco-Lodge, where participants can enjoy a peaceful dip in the pool surrounded by jungle and sky.

The festival takes place in the open air, surrounded by the lush tropical forest of Mombacho Volcano. Expect warm, sunny days—it’s the height of the dry season in Nicaragua—but the volcanic landscape stays comfortably mild, and evenings can even be cool, so come prepared to enjoy the natural elements.

For five days, you’ll have the chance to unplug from the outside world and reconnect with nature in a focused, movement-filled “train-cation.” To make the most of it, be sure to bring…

• Sunscreen

•Bug spray

•Refillable water bottle

•Headlamp or flashlight (with extra batteries)

•Swimsuit

•Towel

•Flip flops or sandals

•Sturdy shoes for uneven terrain

•External battery charger

•Lightweight layers (hot days, cool nights)

All participants will first meet at Encuentros Club in the center of Granada. From there, shuttles will take you up to Finca OSOM.
